Yesterday I got to meet lots of librarians at the North Central Kansas Library System Teen Workshop. I spoke about why it’s so important to have a diverse collection (even if you don’t live in a diverse place) and resources for discovering and evaluating books. A pdf set of the slides can be found here: Beyond the Bestsellers Fall 2015 or you can view on slideshare.
Thank you for the slides! I still can’t believe that I missed out on such a great time!
So sorry I missed seeing you! I can email you some details about Miriam’s presentation, too. The rest was just hands on type activities.
I would really appreciate some details! Are you going to the NCKL conference in Rock Springs in November?
Your slideshow is such a great resource!! Engaging and filled with useful information. I’ll definitely be sharing it with some of the teacher ed students we work with, as the information is relevant to them as well. Thank you!
Thanks, Katrina!
