Top Ten Tuesday is a book blogging prompt hosted by The Broke and the Bookish. I don’t participate every week, but I join in when I find the prompt interesting. This week’s topic was a “freebie” so when skimming through past prompts, I chose #106 from 2012 about posts that represent me as a blogger.
I broke the rules and chose twelve. Which also tells you something about me.
This is my favorite post I’ve written, which is just a little story about an interaction I had with a patron that sums up why I love working in a public library. Also Greek words. Reading it actually makes me sad that I don’t get to work a public service desk more.
I love this post about listening to my favorite band from high school while driving to class one spring day. I miss writing about what music I’m listening to, and should get back in the habit of doing it regularly.
It’s kind of a big deal.
Hollywood, start listening.
Questions you didn’t even know you wanted to ask me.
I cry a lot while reading. It’s kinda my thing (like feminist rants).
Welcome to my obsession.
I write stuff for other places on the internet! Usually they are better than what I write here. I don’t know why (no I do: laziness).
Down with the OED (Yeah you know me). (for my library’s blog)
My dictionary obsession.
How to Read Infinite Jest (for my library’s blog)
Helpful tips for reading a book that weighs 3.2 pounds.
They gave me an award for this one.
If Books are Magic, Librarians are Wizards (for NoveList)
Best title I’ve ever written.
Beyond “Green Lit”: Books for Fans of John Green (for NoveList)
I am always surprised that this is the #1 search result for John Green read-alikes. Then I gloat.
Friends, this is probably all you ever need to know about me.
